Helping Friends Move

We spent the day helping a family in our Branch in Offenbach move to a new home in another town.  Moving out of one home and into another is an interesting thing in Germany.  The house you leave must be entirely stripped of all cupboards, closets, built-ins and appliances and window coverings, leaving it completely empty.

Everything, including the kitchen sink, must be removed.  The new family moving in will install a new kitchen.  Interesting for us to see how things turn over here in a move.

Here’s the moving crew on one end . . .

. . . And the unpacking crew on the other end.

The new kitchen at the new home is still being installed.

The best part of a moving day is feeling the community of loved ones who come to help and lighten the load.
