Today was the Roses turn to return home. They’ve lived just down the hall from us in Portstrasse and we have loved being nearby. It’s sad to see them go.

One fun fact I discovered about Elder Rose is that my 3rd Great-grandpa, Theodore Turley baptized his 3rd Great-grandpa, Parshall Terry in Upper Canada in an ice-covered pond in February, 1838. You can read about the miracles surrounding that baptism here.

This sign on the back of their front door will be one of my favorite memories of the Roses! (I sing it to the tune of “Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes.”)
