We spent some time this morning looking at the exquisite 15th century tapestries in a special climate-controlled room. There are two displayed behind glass. One was from the mid 1400s, the other from the late 1400s. They showed depictions of the life of Christ and were beautifully done.

It’s interesting to see the detail in the dress and clothing of the people depicted here, including soldiers in armour.

The second tapestry had the story of the birth of Jesus.

I love thinking about the women who made this and their obvious love for Jesus and His gift to us. This was their gift back to him, and our gift to enjoy it now.
