Garbers and Hughes Depart

One of our zone responsibilities is organizing the arrivals and departures of missionaries.  Today was a sad day for us–the Hughes and Garbers have departed for home.  It’s a sad and happy time for them, but mostly sad for us.  We’ve worked side by side with the Garbers since our arrival in August.  They’ve been mentors and friends.

The Hughes have worked with FamilySearch.  They’ve been kind to help me with our family names when we’ve gone to the temple together.  Sis Hughes bequeathed her temple dress to me and I’ll remember her every time I wear it.  She was so dear and kind.

Back at the office, we had our weekly Team Meeting.  This is our crew.  We have the best department ever.  We love working here with these good friends.

We topped the evening off at Cafe Klatsch after a beautiful temple session.  This is our favorite winter menu dessert–German pancakes with ice cream and plum sauce.  YUM!
